Babies and Osteopathy

After the birth, it is recommended to have a new baby check. Following a full case history, the child will be assessed to see what might need help. Assistance may be given for breastfeeding positions, treatment post tongue-tie, latch difficulties, reflux, colic, and positional preference. Gentle cranial treatment helps soothe and relax your baby. These osteopathic techniques are suitable for children at all stages of development.

When necessary, referrals to other health care practitioners may be warranted in order to provide the best care possible.

Home visits are available for new-borns.  Please get in touch for further information.

Osteopathy and your Child

From toddler to adult, these are times of rapid growth and physiological changes, which may lead to aches and pains and affect development.  Common complaints are ‘growing pains’, headaches, back discomfort/pain and neck discomfort.  These may be due to repetitive postures, falls, traumas or sports injuries. Osteopathy can support your child to reach their full potential in these times as well.

When necessary, referrals to other health care practitioners may be warranted in order to provide the best care possible.

Teens and Osteopathy

The teenage years are a time of changes in hormones, incredible growth and development of the mind and body.

An osteopath can support your teen to feel more comfortable in their body. A tailored treatment plan can help to manage aches and pains due to rapid growth, braces, scoliosis, repetitive postures, menstruation and sports injuries. This will not only aid in their confidence and resilience in their body, but of the whole person.

When necessary, referrals to other health care practitioners may be warranted in order to provide the best care possible.
