Prengancy Osteopathy
During pregnancy the body undergoes substantial postural and physiological changes to accommodate the growing bump. It’s incredibly common for women to experience pain in the upper and lower back, neck, ribs, pelvis and groin, as well as suffer from headaches, sciatica, and carpal tunnel… just to name a few common symptoms.
Osteopathy offers a safe, non-invasive and entirely drug-free solution to help manage these symptoms, thereby giving the mum-to-be confidence in her body during the pregnancy and the upcoming birth.
Advice on lifestyle, exercises and positions to help alleviate pain and prepare for the birth are also given.
pre and post natal Osteopathy
Pre/Post Natal Osteopathy can help support a woman throughout her pregnancy and also after the birth of her baby. During this special time, it is so important to feel healthy and confident both physically and emotionally.
Post Natal Osteopathy
After the birth, a postnatal check is recommended for both the mum and baby.
For the mum, it is a helpful time to see an osteopath to aid the recuperation of the body. Osteopathy can help to recover from pregnancy and labour, along with making the physical demands of caring for a new baby easier. Any new strains due to feeding, carrying and lifting may be addressed. And again, advice and exercises will be given to help you get back to optimum health.
Very gentle interventions can make significant changes to your pelvic pain and even more so, help towards your general well-being. Let Anna help you along your journey in pursuing and maintaining your best health.
